Spicy Nigari Tofu Vegan Recipe

Vegan snack

This quick snack can double as a light lunch. Add quinoa for a full meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Nigari Tofu (firm)
  • 1/2 - 1 Spanish Onion (chopped)
  • 1 large tomato (chopped)
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • Nutritional Yeast (2 small handfuls or more for desired taste)
  • Grapeseed oil or Coconut oil (2-3 Tbsp)

Directions:

  1. Drain and rinse tofu. Chop into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan at med - high heat.
  3. Fry tofu in pan with salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast for 3-4 minutes until lightly crisped.
  4. Add tomato and onion, and cook until desired softness of onion is achieved 2-3 minutes.
